Before you start looking at anything else, make sure you have your budget locked in – it’s going to be a lot easier to plan your event when you know how much dough you have to spend! A helpful tip: decide how much you’ll be spending and then add 10%. Although it might be tempting to book everything first and then look at the damage, you may end up making cuts later on to keep expenses down, throwing a wrench in your plans. Once you’ve got your budget set, just contact our functions team here at Varsity and we’ll sort the rest out!
You can’t plan a great corporate function without great food and drinks! One of the worst things to experience at a party is hunger – if there’s not enough food and drinks for your guests, they may leave disappointed. On the flip side, provide great eats and it’s likely everyone will be raving about how amazing your function was! Make sure to get those dietary requests locked in sooner rather than later – the last thing you want at your function is an allergic reaction! Sending out a bulk email to your colleagues a few weeks out from your function date will save you the stress of people asking you which foods are safe to eat. Just let us know your dietary requirements and the Varsity crew will have everything sorted for the big day.
