February is a month we hold dear to our sports-loving hearts. It’s the month when students head back to school after the summer vacation, it’s the season where the weather (finally) gets a little cooler after some scorching late 30-degree days and—most importantly—it’s the month that welcomes back the legendary Super Bowl… an important date in our Varsity calendar.
If you’re looking for a good dose of sports, seriously good food and fun, we’re here to deliver your prescription. Just what the Varsity doctor ordered.

Super Bowl LVII in 2023 promises to be a thrilling showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, competing to take home the legendary Vince Lombardi Trophy. With around 200 million people watching the game worldwide, we’ll be rallying up all of Perth’s Super fans to all of our Varsity venues… join us for one of the most exciting sporting events of the year.
The school semester is starting up and before you get too deep into your books, we’re throwing a party! Join us for a rager on Thursday 23rd February from 4 PM for special deals, jugs of beer and a bar full of other students (18 and over). When you flash your Student ID, here’s what you can expect…

Calling all love birds, next week (14th February) is Valentine’s Day! If you forgot, not to worry, your Varsity little helpers are here to make sure you impress your Valentine (without spending your life’s savings).
We might look like big tough guys on the outside with our love for sports, beer and burgers… but we’re massive softies on the inside. We love a date night, sharing a Fancy Shake, some fries… and perhaps a kiss? Join us for a cheesy evening this Valentine’s Day, our Tuesday half-price wings will be in full-force so you can treat your special someone (and you) with a delectable feast.
Plus, not to mention, all Varsity venues are situated in prime locations near ultimate date spots such as the cinemas (Joondalup, Whitfords, Innaloo and Morley), along the river (Nedlands), the city (Northbridge) or surrounded by fun activities – a trip to Timezone anyone? (Fremantle). Start or finish your date night at Varsity and you’re guaranteed to make your Valentine swoon.
Taking place on Sunday 12th February is the highly anticipated fight between Makhachev and Volkanovski.
Current UFC Lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and current UFC Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovksi are headlining the event, marking the 8th time in UFC history that different champions from different divisions fight for the same title. If Volkanovski wins the match, he will be 4th man to be champion in 2 divisions simultaneously and 5th fighter overall.
If you haven’t scored yourself tickets to the fight, not to worry—we’re screening the event live and loud across our big screens at all Varsity venues.
