If you’re on our Varsity website, high chance you’re a lover of burgers. And who could blame you? There’s nothing quite like a big ‘ole burger to sink your teeth into when you’re hungry.
In this blog we want to give you the low-down on the top 5 burgers you simply need to try. We recommend working your way through this list each time you come in, or fully commit and order them in one go. Mad respect if you do the latter!
Ah the grilled cheese! Who would have thought that the hot sandwich could be made even better (… we did).
Grilled cheeses are by far our favourite childhood snack. Classic white bread, cheddar cheese, butter… our mouth is already watering. To pay tribute to this beloved sandwich, our Varsity chefs have outdone themselves with the Grilled Cheese Squeeze burger.
Featuring: double grilled cheese, pulled pork, bacon, bourbon caramelised onions and black garlic bourbon aioli. It’s no wonder why we had to make special mention of this burger in our top 5.
It ain’t a Sloppy Joe if it doesn’t get all over you and your brand new white crew neck. Callin’ all Sloppy Joe fans, you ain’t had a Sloppy until you’ve had a Sloppy Joe burger from Varsity!
The secret to the best Sloppy Joe burger is using premium ground beef, adding the perfect amount of sauce and adding a delicious ingredient that will deliver a crunch. We’re proud to say, we’ve ticked all of those boxes.
Featuring: sweet spicy beef chili, onion rings, crispy tobacco onions, jalapeños, McClures pickles, bacon bits, cheese whip & sweet BBQ sauce.
This burger is meaty, saucy and with an addictive acidic sweetness provided by those McClures.
Texans are no strangers to delicious (and spicy) food. Influenced by their neighbours south (Mexico) and east (Louisiana) the state knows how to cook up an impressive feast. In fact, they’ve become renowned for their crazy food challenges!
Nodding to our love of Texan food, is our Texan burger! It’s meaty, smokey and a little spicy. This is a must-try for all burger lovers.
