So, you're planning a function

Absolutely! We take food allergies very seriously and will accommodate your dietary needs. Our menu caters to various dietary requirements and food allergies, to ensure all guests have an enjoyable experience in our venues. Let us know about any food allergies or dietary restrictions when completing your booking form, and we will make sure they are taken care of.

The space will be reserved for your group for a three-hour period. If you wish to have the space for longer, have a chat with our functions manager and we will see what we can do for you. These bookings will be approved depending on the function area’s availability on the day.

After speaking with the functions manager and confirming availability, we require you to complete a booking form. For bookings more than 6 weeks away, a $200 deposit is required to hold the space. The deposit is deducted from your final invoice amount once you’ve decided upon your food and beverage options.

Our function area hire is free at all Varsity venues, and we only require a minimum spend which can be used towards food and/or beverages. Our functions manager is happy to work with you to determine the best food and beverage options for your group. The minimum spend must be paid up front prior to the function.

We can recommend a range of different entertainment options to enhance your function. Whether you are looking for a DJ, live musician, or quiz night host, we can connect you with entertainment professionals who can tailor their offerings to suit your function. Let us know which type of entertainment you are interested in, and we will provide you with the best recommendation. As some of our venues have an open-plan design, not all areas are conducive to private entertainment.

If you wish to book an entire venue exclusively, please reach out to the functions manager. Exclusive venue hire is not available at all venues and is determined based on each case.

Depending on the venue, you can display videos/photos at your function. If you wish to show content at your function, please let our function manager know, and ensure that the content is appropriate. You must bring your own device with HDMI connectivity to plug in on the night.

This depends on the venue and the exclusivity of the space! If you are wishing to play your own music, please let our function manager know. The music must be appropriate to be played in venue.
