The weather might be chilly but the sports action is coming in hot! We’re talkin’ the AFL Grand Final, the much anticipated Western Derby and the Women’s FIFA Finals. And, the best bit? You can catch all of the action on the big screens at Varsity.
Rally up the mates, come down to your nearest Varsity venue and cheer on your team whilst you sink a frothie and down a burger. Now that’s a helluva time. Women’s FIFA Finals
The FIFA Women’s World Cup has taken the sports world by storm with the 32 nations battling to secure their spot at the Women’s World Cup Finals. The teams who have qualified for the Round of 16 include: Switzerland, Norway, Australia, Nigeria, Japan, Spain, England, Denmark, Netherlands, USA and Sweden. For Australia, the Matildas have never made it past the quarter finals however, it can also be said that they have never boasted such a talented squad! C’mon Matildas!
Although Perth will only see a couple of live games played at HBF Stadium with the last game on Thursday 3rd of August between Morocco and Colombia – this doesn’t mean the end of live entertainment for Perth-ians! Experience the atmosphere of roaring crowds, excited cheers and potentially even a few Mexican waves… all at Varsity!!
Save the date: Monday the 7th at 6.30pm to watch the Matildas battle it out to qualify for the Quarter-final. Come down in your green and gold, face painted and your voice box warmed up to cheer on the girls.
